SUMMARY 1
I really enjoyed reading the article I picked and I feel like I really related to it, so I think the effectiveness of my summary that I wrote was very good. I think my point came across very clearly. I worked on this summary pretty hard the first week, but once it came to the editing part, that was more difficult and not as much fun for me. I think I should get at least a B, I think I followed the rubric very well. I actually enjoyed writing this but I think I could have done the editing portion better and could have taken more time on that.

My writing process!
There are 6 steps to the writing process: understanding the task, gathering data, invention, drafting, revising, and editing. I did not realize that there were that many specific steps to the writing process. But whenever I go about writing a paper I do some of those steps. I really focus on the gathering data. I focus on that so I know exactly how my paper will be written out. I realy enjoy using outlines when I'm writing, it helps me get all my thoughts in order and helps to get all my points across so I know where they are going to be placed in the paper. The step that I usually skip, but dont mean to is the revising aspect and editing part. I always want to get it dont done as soon as possible so I rush and dont want to have to read through it again. Even though there are usually mistakes that I miss. So my weakness is definitely when it comes around to the editing portion of my paper. So that is one thing I will work on as I begin to write papers for this course.

Who am I?
I am Mackenzie Stephens and I believe I am full of life. I am someone who sees the glass half full, I love to laugh and try to make the best out of every situation! I am at Olivet because this is where I knew I was supposed to be, I neve doubted for a second that I was going anywhere else. I go to a Nazarene church so I have always grown up around Olivet but I knew the Lord wanted me here and I havent regreted it for a second!
